Dr. Xuesheng Chen is professor of physics at Wheaton College, Norton, MA.

Xuesheng received her Ph.D. in physics at Boston College with Prof. Di Bartolo, having arrived here from China with a bachelors in physics from the University of Science and Technology. She is now a very active collaborator in the spectroscopy laboratory in various projects supported by NASA and NSF.

Her interests are in novel electro-optic ceramic laser materials and she works closely with industry in the development of such materials. In particular, her interests are in transparent materials for microchip and high power ceramic lasers, energy transfer processes, and upconversion luminescence.
