The Department of Physics at Boston College has a selective graduate
program which offers a comprehensive course of study and research leading
to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.),
as well as programs leading to a Master of Science
(M.S.), and Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.)
in conjunction with the School of Education. Courses emphasize a strong
foundation in the basic principles of physics, preparing the student to
undertake advanced research under the supervision of a faculty advisor.
