1. Welcome back! Please start reviewing all of Chapter 1 – we will not cover the
mathematical background in class, apart from some specific mathematical tools
we use for problem solving in later chapters.
2. Homeowork solutions can be found on the library’s on-line reserves (search
under Graf).
3. Take home Exam #1, covering Chapters 2 and 3,
will be given out at the end of class on Wed., Feb. 18th . It must
be turned in at the beginning of class on the 20th .
4. Average for Exam #1 = 82/100.
5. Exam #2
will be given out on Wednesday April 1st and is due in class on Friday, April 3rd.
The exam will cover Chapters 4 and 5.
6. Average for Exam #2 = 76/100.
7. Exam #3
will be given out on Monday, April 27th and is due at the beginning of class, Wednesday April
29th. The exam will cover Chapters 6 and 7.
