Quantum Phase Transitions out of the heavy Fermi liquid

A number of fascinating experiments have revealed some very unusual phenomena at the
quantum phase transition associated with the onset of magnetic order in heavy electron metals.
In this talk I will describe recent theoretical work that provides a concrete route for the breakdown of
Fermi liquid theory at such a quantum critical point.
