Areas of Research Nanostructured Thermoelectric Materials: synthesis, characterization, and applications of semiconducting nanoparticles such as Si, Ge, SiGe, Bi, Bi2Te3, Sb2Te3, CoSb3, PbTe, PbSe, etc. Thermoelectric Energy Conversion: power generation and cooling devices using high ZT thermoelectric materials. Solar Energy Harvesting: solar energy conversion using nanoscale coaxial cable arrays and thermoelectric materials. Carbon Nanotubes: synthesis, characterization, functionalization, properties, and applications. Field Emission: low voltage electron emissive materials. Ceramics: powder, thin and thick film processing and characterization of various ceramics including carbides, oxides, nitrides, borides, etc.
