The middle room (~ 467 sq. ft.) provides an open space for graduate and undergraduate students to build new equipment, cryogenic probes and plan new experiments. Future plans for the laboratory include building apparatus to measure high temperature (400 – 1500 K) resistivity in field and high temperature resonant ultra-sound of materials. The middle room also includes an exhaust hood and space for experimental sample annealing ovens. A storage room (~75 sq. ft.) adjacent to the southern exit door provides space for carts, pumps and building materials.
